New Canadian Politics Thread

looking at the cbc tracker i was surprised to see that the libs' ~65% chance to win included a 41% chance of a majority, and only 24% chance at minority. Cons' are also at 24% chance at minority, but only 11% chance at majority.

think it comes down to where each party enjoys more/less support.

the cons have a huge lead in alberta, manitoba, saskatchewan.

the libs have a lead in ontario and quebec, and atlantic canada.

BC seems to be a toss up currently. but there are simply more seats where the Libs enjoy advantages over the cons. let's not underestimate the Ford effect either. I think Doug may win Justin this election
 
Say what you want about the Liberal party, it's not running cover fire for a collection of religious nutters and white supremicist sympathizers within their ranks.

I mean, there are those kind of people in Scheer's own campaign staff. "The Rebel" was the media platform that vomited Faith Goldy forth into alt-right stardom, and their former news director is the guy running Scheer's campaign.

He wasn't charged with sharing information with a foreign government. Doesn't mean that the person he shared it with wouldn't then release it to a foreign power, but he didn't do it directly. Or if he did they cannot prove it.

You definitely have to stretch your interpretation of the word "several" a good deal so that it covers the fact that you went out drinking with said person less than three years ago and commemorated the occasion with a post together on social media.

It doesn’t really matter to me nor do I care much. I was just curious because at first I thought the intent was to show that she was lying and they socialized recently.
 
While it doesn't matter much it does raise uncomfortable questions and keep them CPC off kilter.
