Not his choice! But in a perfect world they obviously rest him if the goal is to actually win a cup. For me, 70 goals is my cup. They ain't winning shit.
 
I just want him to pop one in in the first game and then play literally only offensive zone face offs for the the remainder of the game. Then I rest him the next game for sure. He can use the rest
 
Bruins playing Bergeron in game 82 last year cost them their series. Shit happens. I'd prefer to reduce those small risks.

Nope, don't matter a bit who they play. They gotta beat them or go home early again.

I've never been this unenthusiastic about the playoffs beginning with the Leafs in them and I don't like it.
 
boston probably wins tonight to make tommorrows game completely meaningless.

which is good because it'll make maurice rest guys like barkov who are banged up, but otoh will also likely turn tommorrow into an epic goonfest as all the tough guys on both teams play.

as far as resting guys on wednesday, with Domi, McMann, Jarnkrok injured the best they can probably do is dress 7 dmen (while likely resting Rielly and McCabe i think), and go with 11 forwards which would let them rest 1 forward. I would probably lean towards resting Tavares but i guess resting matthews makes sense too. though i guess they could actually dress 8 dmen and rest another forward if they wanted to.
