I was thinking last night that we actually might be a fast team again.

Domi, Knies, McMann into the top-6 seems to make a very fast top-6 now.

The third line is still slow with tavares and patches, but robby is quick at least.

And then especially with reaves out the 4th line of Lorentz-kampf-Holmberg is fast too.

and then on defense, there may not be any burners, but Rielly and McCabe are still very mobile, while OEL and Tanev have been surprisingly mobile too (OEL is actually a top notch skater period, while Tanev is slower but still very mobile). OEL and Tanev are definitely much more mobile than the Brodie/Eddy and Gio/Boosh roles last year. Brodie used to be mobile but that really faded the last couple years.

Now it's only Benny that's a slug back there.

Three slugs on the team - Tavares, Patches, Benny - all in depth roles. That's doable.

jibes pretty well with my eye test.

sexy cock have been our best players for sure.

and yeah, OEL may be our new #1 d-man. what an idiot offseason wayward was not wanting him.

I'm still blown away by OEL. how was there not more of a market for this guy.

Also very confused so far by the fact that Vancouver’s paying him $14M over the next four seasons to NOT play for them.

Especially considering that their defense core is dogshit and they’re paying Tyler Myers $9M over the next three seasons to stick around and play terribly for them. Shoulda bought him out instead.
