nerdies are always inaccurate! especially in small samples! nothing is perfect.

but this game seems more than just inaccurate to me. the numbers in this game were just bizarre.
 
For some reason we're getting fewer offensive zone starts this year.

23-24: 84.8% on the fly, 5.14% offensive, 6.14% neutral, 3.89% defensive
24-25: 87.3% on the fly, 3.25% offensive, 5.76% neutral, 3.71% defensive

so less whistles in general looks like.

The biggest chunk comes out of ozone starts but neutral and defensive are also lower.

And the increase in OTF changes feels like it's mostly been from sustained ozone pressure. But i'm not sure of that.

Lorentz himself being a PTO player shows that. They are everywhere. There is such quality of bottom 6 players looking for work.

*Engelland’s a defenseman, but same idea. Bottom-pairing scrub locked up for term & real money. I guess he was Calgary’s version of Reaves.

And I’ll admit that he didn’t have as many of these in Calgary as I thought he did. But the list above is still putrid enough.
