OT: American Politics

They have a clear mandate from the people. They’ll be ousted in their next election if they don’t follow it
Sorry I feel this is Naive..

Congress is the problem... Reelect your congress Critter. AKA they won't hold them accountable for shit.. It takes some truly epic levels of corruption to get rid of one.. See Bob Menendez.

And it requires 66 % of BOTH houses.. I expect greed to be the name of the game and it not happen. About 33% max.
Then After that 75% of the State houses.. yeah good luck there's a reason that there have been only 26 Amendments and 10 of then were pretty much day 1.

I think the podcast thing is over rated personally. But I agree that her inability to properly articulate any difference between herself and Biden until she had bottled the question a few times and quickly focus grouped a meh answer to the question definitely hurt.

I agree the podcast thing is overrated, and also agree her answers were shit….but I keep thinking about how minute the electorate would be that would be swayed one way or the other on that.

I just don’t think undecided voters, or unengaged voters (those who voted for Biden but didn’t get out this time) would be watching and/or swayed by her appearances when she did address those things?

I feel like short of having a cult of personality like Obama or Trump, you gotta have a message that rises above the fray and sells two or three things to the public that aren’t in the weeds on policy, interviews etc….and just pump out some slogans that can stick about what getting out to vote for you might mean.

Finding out why 20m voters who got out there for Biden but stayed home for Kamala, is the solution to future elections.

"I love and appreciate the leadership Joe Biden has shown these last 4 years but I see a few things differently"...and lay out a few answers to pain points on inflation, housing affordability, and immigration. Joe is a big boy, he'll understand the need for Kamala to take credit for the things that help and walk back the things that hurt.

Along these lines it’s turning these very valid points (and slogans that focus on what Joe did best.) into something that’s going to reach the least politically inclined potential voters…

Short punchy phrases that highlight when you touched on here, in a very sellable fashion.

Then you get Mayor Pete going on Rogan, or Meet the Press, Lex, Maher, Fox, to drill into those topics and lay out the black & white differences between each presidency the last 8 years.

Everything has to go towards hooking that unengaged, undecided voter though for sure.

👆🏼Alex Jones claiming Rogan was always pro-Trump and believed he could do the most damage by pretending to be unbiased, while shitting on Biden/Kamala the entire time.

Was pretty obviously the case, but plenty liked to cling to Joe’s remarks from over a decade ago, to pretend he was still somehow liberal leaning.

He’s been in Peter Thiels back pocket now for a loooooooooong time.

IMO its important to go on the "rival" media because the Dems don't seem to understand what 50%ish of the country actually wants, and as others have stated, they have to break into the right media ecochamber.

There is no reason to be scared of it. All of the Dems that have done it come out looking good (Bernie, Pete, Fetterman etc.).

But intead the narrative is Kamala is scared of Joe Rogan or having a 3 hour conversation, which are two qualities that are not attractive in a president. Like you're supposed to go toe to toe with Putin but you can't handle some idiot like Rogan or Tucker Carlson or whoever?

Yeah. Everyone with something to sell the masses does Rogan. Even Kamala said yes… but only for 45 mins and at a place convenient to her…

Not good if you’re trying to dodge claims that you’re scared to talk or you’re an elitist

You don't listen to Joe if you actually believe this.
