Why do you think this would have stopped at a few months? You think Trumpco would have left it at that and not pushed for resentencing? You think they wouldn't have kept digging to invent new charges to keep him paying lawyer fees until it bankrupted him after the fact?

this is going to make things much much worse for Trump's ability to use the courts as a weapon. not better.

I suspect that it still will. He is a hero for protecting his son with the power that the Supreme Court vested in him.
In fact, I think that Trump will spend a great deal of time trying to undo the pardon. Only to find out.....

1) you didn't answer the question
2) there is no norm , law or precedent standing in the way of whatever trump wants to do. This will have no impact on what he was planning or will be able to do going forward.

You're right, there are no norms, laws, or precedents standing in his way - the only thing standing in his way is a party sticking to clear righteous principles and pray that eventually the people stick up for them too.

But now that might be gone entirely, just to save nepo baby fuck up hunter a few well earned months in prison.

Dems got to say whatever they wanted about trumps previous round of pardons and here we are 4 years later with no one giving a fuck because the price of eggs or whatever the fuck

There's a lesson in here. Trump resistance isn't and can't be about trump. Clearly trumps character isn't enough of a turn off to matter. If the dems spend the next 2 years ragging about everything trump does without articulating a better vision for the country, they're cooked again.
