If he had been reelected in 2020 American democracy would have effectively been ended by the 2022 midterms and Trump would have no term limit constraining him.

2020 or 2024, as soon as he was given a second chance America was over.

It’s frankly hilarious the degree to which my life experience is the exact opposite of the whole “you’ll get more Conservative as you get older” chestnut we used to hear as kids.

Young teen me was an extremely socially & economically conservative evangelical Christian who thought Mike Harris was an incredible Premier of Ontario, and I’d very much enjoy going back in time and slapping that dumb fuck upside the head.

And I’m very glad now that none of that fucking shitty world view survived contact with the real world.
