OT: Coronavirus Resources - and other things to not worry about

He means CHR (case hospitalization rate) but this dude tries to give it a whirl

If true this would put Omicron as a slightly higher CHR than Alpha.

So Delta hospitalization risk was around 4x that of the original and 2.5x Alpha
Alpha was 1.65x the original
Omicron would then be around 2x-ish higher than the original

Everything at rapidtestandtrace.ca is now on back order. It's like no one in Ontario/Canada knew at home rapid tests were an option (govs fault) until they were like "oh ya hey we've got millions of these rapid tests, grab a few when you run out of Wisers".

Happy I picked up a 25 pack before the rush. Thanks to everyone on the board who were sharing links!
$15/test on that site vs $10/test on Abbott's.... disaster capitalism...

The spray coats the nose but does not go down into the lungs. The researchers say it is cheap, easy to distribute and is expected to be effective against mutant strains of the virus including the Omicron variant.

"It won't matter if a new variant comes along, this drug will block that protein from infecting the cells," Professor Campbell said.

"I'm very confident that we can demonstrate that it will work, and people will be using this before they go to the shops and before they go to school."
