the conservative governing mantra during covid appears to be, 'make it look like we're doing something, but only actually do the bare minimum after it is too late'delaying school 2 days is the best. I can’t even begin to understand the thought process on that one.

yeah NS did that too and it is equally bizarre...delaying school 2 days is the best. I can’t even begin to understand the thought process on that one.
Nerds also suck at explaining it.also, the media sucks at reporting scientific data in a way that is easy to understand or contextualize
Also, apparently it’s to get hepa filters in all classes (which was supposed to have been the case in September…)
I wonder if it's to give themselves the option to push it back on Monday if things are looking really hairy.delaying school 2 days is the best. I can’t even begin to understand the thought process on that one.

We really need an emergency approval of pediatric vaccines. There is a lot of this just because of the sheer number of infections.. A vaccine, even if there's 0 protection on symptomatic illness SHOULD be able to cut these hospitalizations in half. I know the Pfizer trial failed due to dosing issues (and they're in the process of giving them 3rd doses) but shit, give the kids something in the meantime if the safety is fine. It's an emergency. Cut through the red tape please.
