OT: MLB Thread

bah... they weren't even a .600 baseball team in the regular season... so they are actually due for the four losses after the 6 wins.

Even if by a miracle, the jays win 3 in a row to tie it. Kluber is going on Saturday for game 7, and even on 2 days rest, he really was dominating the jays. They won't score more than 1-2 off him if he rests 4 days. So, not only do the jays have to tie it, they have to beat a rested Kluber for Game 7.

He was on 3 days rest today, he'll be on 3 days rest again for game 7.

Since when?

Kluber is the only starter on Cleveland that i'm truly confident that the Jays will hammer.

They scored 9 runs off him in the regular season (in one start) and should have beaten him twice in the playoffs already (he was on the ropes nearly all of Game 1).

It's the random no-name guys that the Jays struggle with.

if the series goes 7, the Indians had a choice of Kluber 3 times, 2 of which on short rest, or twice, both in normal turns - I think they would have been better off with the normal rest (short rest is almost always a bad choice)
with what they have left to start the rest of the way, the door is wide open for the Jays to bring this to Game 7... just waiting to see if they can show up every night now!

he is the pitcher they have hit the best in this series

Estrada is going to need to be on his game today as this guy with 11 IP in the MLB will fool the jays all day

The Indians pitching staff was already ravaged by injuries and they were originally planning for game four to be the bullpen game. When Bauer couldn't get out of the first inning in game 3 it really screwed things up. They are running out of arms, and today are starting a guy with 4 career MLB appearances (2 starts).

Well, the Blue Jays had their 2 years to choke consecutively. They will come no where near making the playoffs next year or the year after. 0 prospects in the top 50, older/overpaid vets. They are done with.

Almost done.

Come on jays , just lose so I don't have to hear about you again for a year, hopefully more.

Happ, Estrada, Sanchez, Stroman, Liriano will all be back as a starting rotation.

Osuna and Biagini will be back in the pen.

Donaldson, Tulo, Travis, and Martin will all be back.

They are apparently going to open the vault for Edwin.

I could see them being competitive for a while yet.

Do you prefer "Let's Go Raptors!"

Hockey and basketball having parallel seasons makes the raptors much easier to drown out.

Also, I don't notice a bunch of raptors hats or people stopping work to watch raptors post season games or talking raptors around the water cooler. Its a blue jays thing and I cant wait for this to be over.
