Dave, Pryor, Eddie, Carlin, Burr as pure stand ups. I also have George Lopez on my stand up. His stuff away from the TV shows is fantastic. Saw him twice at CasinoRama. His earlier shows/albums are amazing.

That's right, I momentarily forgot they have both been cancelled.

On buffalo 29 when I was a kid they would play Benny Hill and the two Ronnie's etc. But there was a comedian that my dad and I loved to watch which was a "stand up" ( Dave always sat down with a cigarette and a glass of Scotch) and intermixed was some sketches.
Dave Allen at large. Was the show. Irish comedian who always had bits about the papacy, drinking, the war. Etc. He was missing half a finger on his smoking and drinking hand.

I'll look for YouTube videos. But I have always admired older British and Irish story tellers. Billy Connelly had some amazing stuff too. He can get a bit crazy, but I love his stuff too.

Any one remember Dave Allen at large?
