Nobody has argued she isn't badass. She just isn't what the show is portraying her as. She wouldn't need to be, she's much more. Even without the ring she carries in LOTR.

Absndon the timelines - this is young pre-wizard galadriel they're showing. Her character arc is probably one of the shows backbones I'd guess.

And I gotta say I missed all this online furor over this and am actually shocked - there's plenty of iffy parts in this show so far but I never imagined galadriel being able to fight with a sword would be one of them .

I think Cate is a great combo of graceful and imposing. She's nobody's idea of a delicate flower. See: previous gif.

and this new chick is fully convincing in her physicality, too.

Galadriel is also of course supposed to be a great beauty, too.

Galadriel certainly isn't nice so far. she's been an unsmiling bitch to everyone so far.

The dude that dove in to save her seems nice, and brave, and smart tho.

Elrond is nice and very smart.

Arondir is brave, smart, and nice.

All the Harfoot men seem nice and smart.


A couple of the elf dudes are dicks but then that chick on the raft was a bitch too.
