OT: Movies/TV Shows

The best Elmore Leonard movie by a mile was Get Shorty. I just rewatched it a month ago and it did not disappoint. Every fucking scene is genius.

it’s funny how he’s mainly known for his crime novels, and their being adapted to the big screen…..but he got his start writing short stories for Western magazines back in the day, then western novels etc….and has had a ton of them adapted to the big screen.

Valdez is Coming
3:10 to Yuman (1957)
3:10 to Yuma (
Hombre

I really miss Gene Hackman being in movies... : (

While I agree, also love knowing he’s been out there making the most of the time he’s got left, getting hardcore into cycling, and enjoy his 💰

Yeah, I mean, into his 90's, it's retirement time. But holy shit did he leave behind an awesome body of work.

Yikes, I did not like that one. I put that in the unwatchable category, and a big Tarantino letdown.

The Robert Forster & Pam Grier arc is elite imo, and may be my favourite on screen love story….especially given its two mature adults, past their primes, connecting on a real, authentic level…..to me, it’s

Plus, watching Grier go up against Michael Keaton is deliscious stuff, those scenes are amazing too.

Then you have Bridget Fonda at her peak hotness, and DeNiro doing one of his most unique characters in forever.
