OT: Movies/TV Shows

yeah turns out it's pretty shitty after all. too bad.

great annakin episodes tho.

and Baylan still rules.
you know they know it’s shit as soon as C-3PO shows up.

sabine is getting worse.

and why the fuck could thrawn not find the unarmed guy slow riding with a bunch of turtle people?

I can't even start with this last episode. Terrible in so many ways. The action, the attempts at humor, the story decisions. Hell they've even completely wasted this brand new galaxy they're in and all we're gonna get is this one shitty planet.

Its really too bad because Ahsoka, Baylan, and Thrawn are all cool characters and good actors but they're just wasted completely.

As usual, I'm way behind the times. Started watching Deadwood last night, it's gonna be a good one I think.

I didn't see a lot of these older shows when they were current as I didn't have access to them. Streaming is good.

I'm a big Kevin Kline fan, and so I've been meaning to see The Starling on Netflix which was sort of released with a bit of a whimper and never got any press. It looked like my kind of drama though, so I finally remembered to watch it last night when I was looking around for something. It was pretty decent. Nothing incredible, but worth a watch.

I thought it was painfully boring. I too was intrigued by the cast but honestly couldnt find enough fucks to give about the characters.

apologies if we discussed it when it was mentioned not long ago in this thread….but were you one of the people who had already seen Silverado?

…because I think an argument can be made it’s his best Kevin Kline performance….not his best movie per say, or even his absolute best acting performance….but if you’re a fan of Kevin Kline, it’s peak Kevin Kline, being that likeable Kevin Kline character he’s capable of. His arc in Silverado is so goddamn satisfying.

I’ve never even heard of Silverado.

I’ll need to check it out then.

The problem with these old movies though is where do you find them? Do you actually have to rent them on iTunes when there’s one you want to watch or do you get lucky and they’re on one of the main streamers.

You’re in luck cause it just started making the streaming rounds the last couple years.

it’s on Netflix right now.

Looks like this one may be free on Amazon. Will check to see for sure later. I’m excited.

it def was on Prime for a while, I think it stopped being on Prime in Canada….and switched to Netflix.

could be diff in the states tho, obviously.

edit: still available on Prime up here too, but now you need the Hollywood Suite addition.
