ok so I literally just rewatched To Live and Die in LA last night and i have to give him credit he was very good in it. I still really dislike what he did in manhunter and everything else.

Here's the thing, that character is supposed to be an idiot, wavering to each side, but also with a sense of innocent charm to him. Ironically twas William Peterson's role, who is void of charm.
I think Stamos can handle that

Hanks is a pretty good Kline comparable, but it's tough to see Kline outperforming him in his best pics. So it makes sense to see sort of the lesser performances (rather, the lesser films) on the list.
But yeah, Philadelphia is one that Kline would've also likely won the Oscar for. That's his kind of role. The sillier stuff like Big (which I rewatched last week), Kline wouldn't be able to top Hanks. So that list you made is pretty good.
And Road to Perdition was awesome. I still remember being jolted by that scene at the end because I did not fucking see it coming at all. My heart almost stopped in the theater. Not sure Kline could've matched Hanks in that one.

i was brousing Prime the other day and found a Mike Hammer remake of one season with still Stacey Keach as a private eye and it looks, well, it looks like something. From 1997 if anyone can advise if this is worth it.
