I think they've tried this already too much and it has not worked.
I don't get why it matters. nobody even saw those movies. last one was like 10 years ago. this is the first time marvel gets to do it.
Those first two X-Men movies with Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan were excellent. 3rd one not so much.Fox owned fantastic four and xmen through all the shitty ones.

And Marvel hasnt made a great movie since Infinity War. Nothing terrible really, but alot of forgettable.
I thought guardians 3 was horrific tbh. maybe i wasn't in the right mood.
the spiderman movies have been uniformly great tho.
