OT: Movies/TV Shows

I love breezy movies that are just meant to entertain. They are not made much these days. That's why Gerard Butler movies rock.

The comparison for books, movies and TV shows that I like to make is to food.

Sure, substantial, immaculately prepared, balanced and healthy food is the best for you to eat on the regular. And tastes amazing.

But sometimes you just want a bag of chips.

That's a great analogy.

I find superhero films aren't much fun and take themselves too seriously.

Pretty much all of the “Snyderverse” DC films are guilty of this. Dull, relentless, boring three-hour-long funeral dirges masquerading as a comic book movie.

But there are plenty of other Superhero movies that are fun.

The Nolan Batman films are still the best.

The Avengers movies are done well and faithful to the comics, but for me are good for an entertaining first watch, but no real interest or patience to rewatch.

The Snyder films are atrocious, the kind of stuff that makes me not want to like comics. The rest of them, I’m not sure I’ve even bothered to watch and don’t plan to either.

I just don't get the idea that there isn't loads of mindless action flicks being made.
