OT: The M-Fing Food Thread

Thing about the use of breasts that I was mentioning is that it adds pork and cheese, plus breaded (almond meal) frying. I also threw a heavy cream dijon sauce all over it.

I much prefer dark but this is likely true. The amount of people describing white meat as dry confirms that. It really doesn't have to be dry. It is insanely juicy and tender if done right.
Yeah my preference is not because of an inability to cook breast meat properly. Our thanksgiving bird had very moist breasts, but the leg meat is still better!

dry thing prob comes from roasting a whole bird...it often gets a little dry before the legs get cooked. I don't have that problem due to brining, right temp and sometimes a little foil strategically placed
brining is so key to keep your breasts a burstin

This is nonsense too. Like anything, if it's done well, it's fantastic. I mean, I still even remember the juicy awesomeness of Swiss Chalet back in the day which I haven't had in at least a decade. And I'm not even the biggest chicken fan. I almost never order chicken out, because I prefer beef and fish so much more.
chicken breasts are inherently less flavourful than... every other part of the chicken. attributable entirely to fat content.

Haha, okay, quick story time.

My gramps has the same opinion as the rest of you and thinks chicken breast is crap. So every so often when the family is gathered for dinner, he'll tell the same story of how when he was a kid, they had a live in nanny (there were six kids). And the family used to of course keep all the dark meat for themselves and give the breast to the nanny. And gramps felt this was such an injustice when he was like 5 years old or something, and in tears begged his mother to let the nanny have some dark meat. I fucking love when he tells the story even though I've heard it ten thousand times.

like the sound of your gramps

No meat eater should ever see any aspect of what goes into the process.
I mean if that is your take, it seems to me like you are aware of how disgusting it is and want to remain ignorant so you can enjoy your food without thinking about how it is sourced/raised. But I will not ruin it for you.

Other than to say our current methods of raising agriculture are not at all sustainable.
