I don't get the shitting on Swiss Pigeon tbh.
Its just a chicken. Pretty simple. And very unprocessed relatively speaking.
And chalet sauce is ridiculously good.

But don’t drink the little bowl of warm water with lemon in it.Extra sauce. Drink the leftover. So fucking good.

Sometimes, when getting home late, I pick up a pre-cooked chicken (humanely raised, of course). I eat the legs and wings and give the white meat to the cat (without the skin ... gold).
Why couldn’t Toronto be an hour or two drive away? I miss this stuff.
I grew up in a pork and shellfish-free household... I eat both now. Rarely, and only when I know the source, but yeah.I'm not kosher or anything since I eat meat out, I don't follow the separate dishes thing, and all that stuff. But I do follow the big dietary no-no's, and that's probably because I just grew up that way. Not eating any form of pork when you're young, once you get older you're like why the **** would I want to eat that disgusting (but also kinda cute) creature? Not when there's that cow over there who I've eaten a million times before!
But these days, it's a rarity. Most of my jewish friends eat bacon too.
I feel as though I could cook you a chicken leg and change your mind....For me, dark meat and white meat taste pretty pretty similar. So while I do have a preference for the taste of white meat it comes mostly down to texture. Dark meat has a greasy texture to it that I don`t care for as much, and that you don`t get nice big chunks of it like you do with white meat.
Swiss Chalet is good but IMO St. Hubert is better, especially ther sauce. I haven’t had either in a couple of years but now I’m hungry for some. And yeah, I like Swiss Chalet too.
Quarter chicken, white meat, with extra sauce and fries or rice as the side.
Finger lickin' good.
