OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

I still look for a 3B upgrade midseason too. Neither Biggio or Lourdes IMO are starters though you can get away with 1, but both are bad defensively to boot. I wish they would look hard at a Kris Bryant as a pure rental. Kyle Seager is interesting but his 15M option next year is unnerving, though if you just use him as a Semien replacement it's okay i guess. Even an UTR LH 3B like Colin Moran solves a lot of problems. While im at it if Rowdy continues to be garbage i'd be very much open to Nelson Cruz for a half year if the Twins don't sort their shit.

Trade for Donaldson. Use guys like Gurriel/tellez/Jansen.

He milked the Twins

I just hope they decide which of these top-100 guys has best trade value to future potential ratio (from the Jays’ POV) and move that guy for a king’s ransom. If Groshans is actually valued around baseball as a top-30 guy, I think you could get something like Scherzer + a controllable BP arm + some C prospect for him. Nobody is making the Chris Sale, Andrew Miller or David Price trade anymore. Particularly with revenue where it is right now, prospects are going to be worth more than ever. Which means there is a great opportunity to trade a future bust for some legit major leaguers right now. Someone will do it.

But it’s purely a scouting call right now, especially since there was no minor league season last year.

I’ve always thought that Groshans was overrated based on very small samples, but who knows.
