OT: The Toronto Blue Jays



Sounds like they wanted both. Likely they have the money to go after another vet 5th starter. Maybe we can offload Kikuchi in a separate deal and use that money too.

Conforto would’ve been nice. Still think we go the younger more controllable route with an OF. Someone that will likely platoon with Gurriel and also take ABs from KK. Probably spell Springer when he undoubtedly gets hurt.

Jansen for Varsho (Or similar) let’s go.
 
His 4.9 WAR is higher than Bo's and Vladdy's last year but his stats don't blow me away on the surface.

I guess he's young and it's his breakout season and there's high hopes?
 
Lmao I’m done with this management group. Incompetent losers. Everything was sooo risky until they got caught with their pants down and had to overpay. Gurriel is a wash with Varsho. Moreno will be 10x more valuable. Kids overrated and now we’re even worse. Terrible offseason

Varsho is good. Have to hope there is more there with the bat. I’m not sure how his defensive value (very good so far) will translate if he’s mostly a LF though.

They paid a pretty steep price, which is sort of surprising considering Atkins just told us the market for C was so great.
 
Varsho would have provided the most WAR on our roster last year among position players. More than Springer, Vladdy, Bo. Plus 4 years of control. Very valuable player.
