OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Gotta say as well, remember that Montreal guy who got blasted for Kirk's weight comments and Monoah defended him and Alek got praise for leadership and defending Kirk? I think that guy was right. Kirk has to loose weight and there are some real fat fucks on this team, including Manoah.
You're a professional athlete. I can mock your weight.

Vlad Jr. might not have needed to take such a huge lead off of second base if he were a few pounds lighter. He also might have got back to the bag in time.

Career offensive year at age 27 next year IMO. I still never liked the trade the day it was announced. And that career year will happen in a year Moreno is an all-star IMO.

With 1000 mlb PA's, I think you can stop posting his minor league stats like they mean anything.

I don't see how, with that body. Sr. had a much better frame to be a Hall of Famer than Jr.
Vlad Jr is chunky, but he actually moves ok for his size. He's not going to light it up, but he's not Kirk.

His problem is that he still runs slow, and he hits the ball hard, so if it's at a fielder, it's going to be an easy play or a double play.

But 2021 showed what he could be, and he wasn't even overly lucky in those numbers that year. He can take a walk, which his dad never did, while also having a pretty low strikeout rate. But with the issues above, if he's not getting it out of the infield, he's dead to rights, like we've seen the last 2 years.

Shame about KK, but bringing him back doesn't allow to improve the OF bats, and keeping Varsho in LF is not smart.

They had to move a C, couldn't wait i dont think, but did it have to be that C for Varsho ( who is better, probably than what he showed offensively) i dont think so, no.

This FO might be the most arrogant group of fucks in MLB i fully expect a quote more insulting than when Jerry Dipoto said his goal was to win 54% of games over 10 year period.

The absolute horseshit lawyer speak and dance around Atkins and Shapiro are gonna give us is gonna be pathetic and infuriating while they completely grin screw all of us at the same time

I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re a bit contrite. They’ve learned to be less tone deaf since those early days. If they’re simply arrogant, it probably means they know their jobs are 100% safe which will be infuriating in itself.

If they don’t, after this season ending fiasco, it may be more difficult to get top players to sign or stay with the Jays.

It hasn’t always that easy to get players wanting to sign with the Jays unless it looks like they have a good chance of making a run for the top prize and this seasons ending mess will not help.

And yeah also I don’t think KK will be back because Varsho has to play full time CF to maximize his value (and to justify having his bat in the lineup, frankly.) In terms of roster construction, it makes more sense anyway to prioritize a big bat for LF.
