OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Is it weird that there's been very little activity so far?

We see more happen in the first 30 minutes of NHL free agency than the first weeks of the MLB offseason.
 
Very slow this year, most people thought it would get going after Ohtani signed, but apparently a lot of FA's are Boras clients this year, and he often tries to drag negotiations into January.

Mlb offseason is always notoriously slow. NHL teams are desperate immediately and basically race to fill their holes asap, but MLB players basically wait out teams coming to them to beg. Most big deals sign in January.

And basically them cheaping out last year to just get under the limit means they have like a few years before any penalties really start kicking in.
 
now I hope they just fail. I hope he sucks in the MLB. But damn that’s a lot of cash for someone who’s never pitched in the league. Is his ceiling a number 1? I’ll be honest and say I don’t know much about the dude.
