OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Nobody is as smart as you. To me, it looks like Whit got less money and less term, but I guess I don’t math.

For the other dummies out there:

The Jays gave IKF 2/15 (plus up to $1M in incentives)
Whit got 1/8

Usually when you talk about deals, saying "more money, less term" implies more money per year. So Whit will make more this season than IKF (8 vs 7.5).

Also, Jays signed Vogelbach. Who needs Ohtani when you can platoon Vogelbach and Turner?

Nope. Saying “more money, less term” does not “imply” more money per year, it states it explicitly.

Likewise, saying “less money, less term” doesn’t imply anything. It’s an observation.

But some people are not great at math (or logic, or reading…)

8 > 7.5

Come back next week when we explain how to solve the riddle of 8x2.
“Less money (8<15), less term (1<2)”.

Didn’t think I’d even have to explain it twice, nevermind three times.

You tried your clever/condescending thing and looked dumb. Take the L and move on, chief.
