Too bad Horwitz is off to such a bad start. He deserves a look after the season ge had last year. He has options though, at least.

Im assuming both he and Votto are in Buffalo to start the year and hope to hell they just fix Joey as the DH

I like Horwitz in theory, but there is just not enough power there for him to be a thing on this team as long as we have Vlad and he isnt very flexible as a bench option

The problem is

Cavan Biggio is not a fucking OF. He looks lost and terrible out there on the regular.

The Jays have this thing where they love versatility, but they dont particularly care if someone is any good at a given spot. Biggio should really only be a 2B/1B, but because of bumblefuckery he's going to get alot of time at 3B, which is unideal and a fair amount in a corner, which is just stupid as his bat isnt even as massive plus where you're fine with it.

Playing him out there everyday would be Colabello/Valencia bad.
Fully agreed. And I’m not extolling the virtues of Cavan Biggio. He’s very limited as a player.

Sort of funny though that Biggio is that much better of a hitter over the same sample size, but Varsho is supposedly a candidate for a breakout offensive year. I’d bet on Biggio to outperform Varsho with the bat (while being generally useless in the field.)

Ive warmed to the notion of Biggio in a 2B or 3B platoon, but my fancy for him ends there, and he's always felt like a player to me that you see on a bad team getting alot of innings but once you become a real contender you replace him with someone better, yet, he's still here, not cheap anymore, and not even close to my biggest qualm with the roster.

There was a time I had hopes for him. He seemed to be able to get on base, take a walk and had power.

He always leaves you wanting more. Injuries and inconsistency have been his problem. He looked great in the second half last year but its doubtful he can put it together for a full season.

I still maintain he's overrated by a lot of fairweather Jays fans because of how he was lumped in as the son of an All Star alongside Bichette and Vlad when he first came up and had a pretty good season, but he was never really much of a prospect and is a bench bat or platoon guy at absolute best.

Seems to me that the causal fan base hates Biggio. He’s a decent utility guy, but 2B is the only place his bat is close to passable and he’s not great there defensively.

Okay i guess than the slightly more advanced than casual fan but not advanced enough to understand analytics crowd loves Biggio?

He has this weird truther fan base out there that i simply do not understand.

So pitching is going to be bad in the division this year?

Red Sox are thin and dealing with injuries.
Cole was the Yankees only consistent/reliable starter, and do you think the rest will hold up throughout the year?
TB churns through pitchers each and every year but this year seems different?
Baltimore added an ace but besides Burnes, who do you trust?

I'd be stunned if the Yankees dont at minimum sign a Michael Lorenzen, if not sign Snell/Montgomery or trade for Cease.

You simply cannot lose Cole for 1-2 months in the ALE when you traded all that for Juan Soto on an expiring.

they will almost certainly grab one of those three guys. They were already rumoured to be the highest bidder on Snell earlier in the offseason. Actually kind of insane that this guy isn't signed yet.
