Canada pauses non-lethal military exports to Israel

Canada has paused non-lethal military exports to Israel since January because of the rapidly evolving situation on the ground, a Canadian government source said on Thursday.

The source, who requested anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation, did not give more details. The freeze was first reported by The Toronto Star.

so this either makes no sense or is being reported terribly. the implication in the news story is that we're still sending lethal military exports to Israel, but cut off the non-lethal stuff? which would make no sense. so I assume we likely paused all military exports.

My understanding is that they haven’t sent lethal aid in over 40 yrs. Besides Canada doesn’t have much of anything military wise to send anywhere.
