Pierre-Luc Dubois Thread

I think getting PLD at the right price is a good move, it helps take pressure off of Nick. I like CC-Nick-Dach as a line so i see Dach fitting in as a winger.. PLD brings us size, and some good skills.. PLD and Nick are close in age .. I just don't see how getting PLD stops the rebuild..:unsure:
Because you have a brain

PLD-Suzuki-Caufield would be a good line as well. I like the possibilities with both Dach and PLD being able to play wing and center.

It doesn't, but it depends on the money and term that PLD gets. I'm all for getting him, but I don't want to overpay for him because he's not the guy on which you risk an overpayment.

I doubt HuGo will offer PLD more than what 14 or 22 are getting paid (yes, I realize that PLD will be a UFA so not exactly the same as 14 or 22), and I doubt that PLD will accept less than $8 million a season, so . . .

So...fuck him then.

You make him an offer. He either takes it or leaves it. If he takes it, great. If not, I don't lose any sleep over it. PLD is not a once in a lifetime player. We can find or draft someone who can do what he does at a price we can afford.

I'm not interested in PLD at 8M. That being said maybe he puts up an 80 points season next year and it changes the narrative.

Not with Stuart Skinner as your goalie but . . . is Aidan Hill really that much better than him? It will be funny when Eichel wins the Cup in about a week, and the way better player (97) still hasn't.

Edmonton doesn’t have the likes of Stone or Pietrangelo.

I doubt he goes after him at all

If the Jets are serious about wanting a Dach-like return then Hughes shouldn't even pick up the phone if he sees a number with a 204 area code on his call display. My bet is that Hughes lets Winnipeg sit and spin and then sees what PLD does next season before he contemplates doing anything.

Jets will easily net a first plus at the deadline

Why bother taking 50 cents on the dollar now , if he plays even better their return gets better

I wouldnt be surprised if he stays and they move MS 5 years older
