Rumors: 2024-25 Season

Literally zero interest in any other player than Dobson.

I'd be willing to give up any asset we have not named Demidov for him.

So you're fine with moving Reinbacher, but Beck is where you draw the line? For a in his prime first pairing RHD?

Please be serious.

Noah Dobson for David Reinbacher & Owen Beck.

Who says no?
Not a f*ckin chance - yea Dobson makes the 1st pairing D role based on modern day mobility requirements but he’s an avg Dzone IQ Dman w almost non existent truculence - makes glaring Dzone miscues like Petry

He’s not worth Redenbacher + Beck

The end goal is not to build a fantasy league team but a team capable of actually winning playoff hockey with all the grind involved

I am serious , Beck doesnt have to be included in any deal

Plenty of other ways to make a trade

Not that he is great or anything but tired of overpaying other teams bottom 6 when you have a near ready good player in the system

Barzal's contract, age and future contracts make him a negative asset for us.

For a contending team, though? A very interesting asset.

You're worried about a bottom six player with minimal upside when a 24 year old first pairing d-man would be hypothetically available?????

Please be fucking serious.

I don't think there's a bigger Beck supporter here than me and I'll pack his bags. Dobson is a #1 D and is RHD. You make that trade all day long.
What I find ludicrous is, GEEMAN has no issue trading Reinbacher. He draws the line at Owen Beck. Deeply unserious.

Okay. If there are any other 24-25 year old RHD first pairing d-men available, who are they and what are you giving up for them?

If a 24/25 year old #1 center or #1 d-man becomes available, I'm jumping all over him. Whatever the price is, short of Demidov.

This is the same bullshit reasoning that so many of you have every 5 years. Jack Eichel becomes available in his early 20s? Well he's not really that good and his injury history will prevent him from----- Yeah, about that. Las Vegas won that trade running away by giving up Alex Tuch and prospects. You'll gladly talk yourself out of a top-tier player because, what, he's not the perfect player? He instantly becomes our best d-man and while he's not perfect, I'll take his warts and figure out if Guhle can play with him long-term on the left.

Imagine the thought process behind, I don't want to give up a fringe prospect for one of the top d-men in hockey, in his prime, because the alternative is I have to pay $3M to a free agent depth forward.

Beck & Redenbacher are not fringe prospects IMO.

Dobson plays a Matheson type Dzone game, major brain farts every game - if that’s the price to pay for a 1Dman, I want min Weber in return - guaranteed 25-27TOI playoff warrior in all game situations w the ability to physically impair the opposition (Weber’s history of targeting & hurting players ribs using his forearm during board battles) or preferably a player who has the potential to develop into an impact player in all three zones - I don’t see that happening with Dobson

For all the fanfare Makar receives for his mobility & offensive prowess, he’s got Lidstrom type Dzone impact play reading ability which keeps him properly positioned to make the right play.

This is all a moot point because I don’t see Uncle Lou rebuilding and rumor is he’s set the stage for his son to start transitioning over to Pres & GM

Isles dont make this trade ...they want now bodies not futures

Secondly there are other assets we can move without moving Beck, not that hard to do
