The 2019-2020 MotherFucking Season Thread

Really there's just been a little storm - muzz injury, rielly injury, Andy slump then injured just when it looked he might be warming up again, and then a bit of good old fashioned bad puck luck on top, not surprising given how well we were going there.
 
Not to mention good puck luck in many of Keefe's early games. They were playing at a 120-125 point pace which is of course unsustainable over a full season. Overall they're at a 108 point pace right now with him on absolutely petrifying goaltending. That's kind of insane.

First round picks were traded for the following rentals the last five years:, Duchene, Kane, Tatar, Stastny, Shattinkirk, Hanzal, Eaves, Ladd, Vermette, Sekera, Franson.

Barrie would likely be the highest scoring dman on the market this year.

Don't think is unrealistic at all.

Yeah I think this Barrie hate is getting a bit aggressive. He's basically what Shattenkirk was when he got flipped. If you want to say he's slightly worse, fine (in terms of perception mostly due to media bias and I suppose his numbers are not quite where his were). But Shatty still got a 1st and 2nd in return. Barrie should be good for a 1st.
 
Yeah, it sounds like they just needed an extra body at practice.

Though if Tavares & Holl caught the same plague Willy's been fighting, it's not out of the realm of possibility they'll be out tomorrow.
 
Dermott then willy and now JT and Holl... the entiee team has likely been fighting something for the last week or more.

Barrie has excellent analytics overall in a top 4 role. Shatty was a 3rd pairing quality defender 5 on 5 with strong PP QB skills. Shatty is what the worst of the Barrie detractors think Barrie is.

If he's on the ice in early/mid February, there's a real chance of him being back before the playoffs.
