The 2019-2020 MotherFucking Season Thread

Tavares, hyman, clifford out messes up pretty much every line he was using. I like that he uses that opportunity to look at some other combos rather than plugging in placeholders.

I like entering other people's accounts and seeing 2005 ignored by almost everyone. I'm pretty sure only like 5 people don't have him ignored at this point.

The truth hurts. Guess it's just you and me buddy!

This week's excuse: the Spanish flu going around the dressing room.

No rebuttal for the evidence that Boston and Tampa have also lost points to teams well below them in the standings though?

Sure, they are much better teams who do better against top competition.

More leeway compared to a club fighting for a playoff spot who has underachieved all year.

So you got nothing

I mean I wasn't really annoyed as much last year when we had 2nd place locked up and we were losing to bad teams in February/March.

Top teams can dick around in the regular season. Mediocre underachieving bubble teams can not.

So if they're a mediocre/bubble team why are you mad that they've lost a couple games to trash teams? Isn't that to be expected?

I don't get how posting their record under Keefe is making excuses. Its purely objective.

And all the same people doing it were the ones killing the team through the first 23 games for sucking.

Correct. Hell, I was genuinely concerned that there was something fundamentally wrong with the team. I felt that was a distinct possibility and even posted several times that if we didn't see an improvement under Keefe something pretty major would probably have to be done. But the performance under Keefe is kinda of hard to deny. It has completely erased those concerns. I'm surprised 2005 is still on this considering he's all about #results.

If we had Keefe from the start we're likely sitting comfortably in a playoff spot right now.

Even with the goaltending issues.
Even with the injuries.

If we had Campbell from day one, Babcock might still be the coach.

The level of destruction that one measly Hutch has been capable of is really staggering.

FYI Keefer thinks Holls and JT will be good to go tomorrow. Andy possibly in as well.

If Frovember makes an appearance the rest of the way (probably not entirely likely since he usually sucks dick after long breaks, but hey you never know) I don't think we should be worrying about playoffs.

If anything but Froskala shows up, we're fine. .905-.910 combined goaltending gets us into the playoffs with some breathing room.

Hutch definitely brought destruction with him, but the team really had quit on Babcock (check the Babcock/Keefe comparisons Zeke has in thhe purpose built thread) and I don't think it was the handful of shit Hutch games that did it.
