I don't think the hockey world's perceptions have kept up really. We haven't been able to finish at all 5 on 5 this year, we seem to say it every single night in every GDT and all I'm hearing is how we need to trade the core for D.

I have this slide ruler going on in my head with the Leafs...when scoring is up defence tends to swing down, when we concentrate on D we lose some goals...I think this happens constantly, haven't done the numbers to prove it. (who am I kidding, I won't), but I think it makes sense.

I also think when this team discovers the balance, that's when we become dangerous like Boston or Colorado.

He was a pretty promising prospect, but his career has been totally derailed by injuries. Missed all of 18-19 with a concussion, and almost all of last year with a knee injury.
