No matter what they do with him, they acquired Gus for no reason.Knies will slot in nicely on that JT or Matthews line over Kerfoot. They just don't have many forwards available and have 12 active d. Makes sense to give them all a look, otherwise you acquired Gus for no reason. McMann is the only guy I wish they gave more of a look but they should be scratching ZAR for him.
With a crazy 11% on-ice s% last year. He's not as bad as his results show this year, but I have a hard time believing they can't do better with that 3.5m.People keep looking at the player card without looking under the hood. He provided very good value in Doms model last year, legit top 6 stuff as a passenger on that line with JT and Willy. It's an obvious outlier when you look at his year over year value.
And while I agree he's been unlucky this year, his outlier was last year and can easily be explained by crazy shooting luck. He's a 35-40 point guy otherwise (decent for a guy without much pp time), which may be market value for 3.5m but you'd hope dubas can do better than that.

Yeah why did we resign the guy to staple him to the bench? And now Timmins is basically red shirting even though he’s been awesome just because Keefe.
5 on 5 on-ice s% was 11 which is quite high.Unless I'm missing something here, I don't follow this argument. His shooting % has been remarkably consistent the last 4 years, based on Cam's post.
