HL and I sorted out the timeline.

Sunday: Face to Face, contract given to Dubas, generally positive but family concerns mentioned, shanny says probably shouldn't have a presser

Monday: Dubas has The Presser

Tuesday: Crickets

Wednesday: Face to Face, Shanny left with "more questions than answers", Dubas says will contact tommorrow

Thursday: Agent presents a contract ask to Shanny, different than before. Silence all day from Dubas....until The Evening Email saying "I'm in lol!"

Friday: Greg Moore Fired, Presser at 3

Saturday: Game of Thrones

Even with the emotions of the playoffs having faded, I’m still 100% on the “trade Marner” bandwagon, tbh.

And am also 100% in favour of trading Matthews if he won’t agree in principle to an extension before his NMC kicks in.

I totally did not realize til you said this that the day we can sign Matthews and the day his NMC kicks in are the same day. That’s a fun little wrinkle that paints us into a corner.
 
so it’s shannys fault that Dubas reneged on a deal they verbally agreed to months in advance at the 25th hour
