In fact Muzzin is a pretty valuable chip for them in a Schmaltz trade as they save $25 mill in cash, but retain the same cap hit. Muzzin and a 1st is probably enough.

Geeman is confusing the limit on retained salary transactions with LTIR.

For retained salary transactions, there is a limit of three per team at any given time and Arizona did hit that limit this past season (though now they’re back down to one following the season).

There is no such limit on LTIR.
