Only other explanation I can think of if the Hart rumours are true is that it could also be that the Flyers are going all-in on tanking. So they want an all-shitty goalie tandem like Chicago with Mrazek & Stalock.

Otherwise, yeah, I don’t get why there’s be any urgency to deal him on Philly’s part.

Just repeating what I’ve come across in reading. I think the mentality is the team won’t be any good for 3 years so Hart will be 28 and need a bigger contract. From what I’m seeing Briere was really given the go ahead to tear it down, so if Hart gets them a great return then why not?
