If they were going to sign Reaves, whatever, I don't get it, but a three year term, so why the fuck not at league minimum? How does he deserve anything more than that for 3 years at age 36?? Easily the outlier shit Tre move so far in his tenure.

Kampf also, just too much for too long.

Between those two, there was around $1M burned for nothing.

I wonder what Tarasenko is going to do.

Gotta figure if there was even a 1 year $5M offer on the table, he'd have taken it. What's the wait for at this point, for someone to get injured somewhere and try to get the deal he wants in training camp? Seems like 1 year on a relatively cheapie deal with a contender is what he should be shooting for at this point. The bigger money opportunities have sailed.

ok so after sleeping on it, trading Jarnkrok seems like definitely the clear best move.

it clears up the cap situation near perfectly, letting us keep Timmins and have space for an extra forward.

we'd be needing all 3 of Knies, Holmberg, Robertson to be quality 3rd liners (and healthy), and all 3 of Kampf, Lafferty, Reaves to be quality 4th liners, which are both far from locks. McMann would be the one interesting extra guy pushing them for spots, though maybe some still like Steeves too.

but I think it's a good enough group to take a chance on until the deadline at least, though adding a cheapo vet before the season, whether that's a defensive or offensive guy, would probably be a good idea.
