So bad.

Not sure what to think of these situations in light of recent events.

Gaudreau must not have been able to get the money he wanted from what must've been more preferred suitors like NYI and NJ, so he had to go be a big fish in a small pond. And the name cache that Gaudreau has makes Miller's pale in comparison.

Kadri is still sitting out there, and he's probably a comparable to Miller in terms of stature.

I'm sure Miller and his agent are noticing this right now. Does that make them more inclined to just resign with Van now for less? Or does it make him want to just go to market if he's going to be taking less anyway? From Vancouver's standpoint, if he's not extending now, he's a complete wasted asset that they need to move.

Not sure why Gaudreau would make him think twice at all. Dude just signed for almost 10 million per. Thats exactly what Miller is trying to get next summer.

Kadri is 2 years older than Miller and probably a step down i reputation fwiw.

If Miller is fine signing just anywhere (other than Calgary apparently) for the money like Gaudrau was, and just needs one team to be game, then yeah, he won't care. But I bet Gaudreau was surprised that he couldn't get NJ and NYI to match CBJ. I know I am. And Gaudreau is a better talent than Miller.

I think of Miller and Kadri as pretty comparable, and Kadri is coming off a cup win where he played a key role.

The thing with Miller is, when thing are going fine, he's great. *HOWEVER* when a team starts to struggle, he's one the first to whine/complain, etc., At least that's how he's been in Vancouver

You’re a Nucks fan? What’s the full 411 on Miller from someone who watches him over a full season?

Not worried about the complaining of things aren’t going well for the team. Will be vying for first all year.

I think his points are a bit inflated due to him being put in more offensive situations than say Horvat; that said, he'll put up points given his size, speed, strength (I think he's a legimate point per game player). More effective on wing (great along the boards) but plays center in Vancouver because the team has a severe depth issue relating to centers who can check/be defensive at an even average ability. Can dominate in game given those abilities. As I said, when things are going well, he'll being giving you the cliche'd 110% on most shifts.

Adam Gaudette actually was used in this role (3C) for a period of time & failed badly because that was putting a square peg into a round hole. If Gaudette ever can stick in the NHL, it'll be as an offensive winger.

Bear in mind, he's only got a year left on his contract (even if it's at a bargain rate of $5.25 million). He'll be looking to cash in big on probably his last chance on a big money contract.

Keep Willie on his own line.
He didn't mesh with Matthews and he doesn't mesh with Tavares.
Put Nylander with the neck that skates and Bunting.
