With the eventual Kane signing, Holloway promotion and if all goes as planned the Kuzmenko signing he will be pushed out of a top 9 role.
 
Because we have ready in-house replacements, we can get a good return for an asset we can get by without just as fine as with, and we can use his money to shore up areas of greater need and weaker depth like forwards.

Seen a couple of people mention this now.

He does, but it doesn't go live until July 2023, so for our purposes this summer he doesn't have one and can be sent anywhere without any issue. Also, it's a 10 team no trade list, not a full NTC. So once he's done with the Canadian teams and a few scrub US organizations, it still leaves over 2/3rds of the league to deal with.
 
More like he's injury prone and played like ass this year so people want to dump his salary but delusionally believe he has value. He also has a full ntc so he's going no where.

According to CapFriendly he has a full ntc this year and next and a modified ntc goes ''live'' July 1st 2023.

Shut up. He's great and will never get injured again and we are doing a favor to some team who will take him and give us some young cheap player who will be much more valuable than him soon after the trade.
 
3.5 for Liljegren? Did I read that right? No way that happens when the kid couldn’t get into a playoff game.

Moving Muzzin is a no from me. None of our kids seem ready to take the step. Would leave a big hole on defense. And if someone were to get hurt we’d be especially fucked. I’d roll with:

Rielly - Brodie
Muzzin - ?
*Gio - Liljegren
Sandin - ?

Assuming Gio at 39 signs the Spezza special. If the kids beat him out so be it. Otherwise back of the line until someone does.

We have to use the money from Mrazek, Ritchie, Kerfoot, Lyubushkin, Holl, Kase, Mikheyev, Campbell to improve the roster.

Would be nice if we had a couple of our prospects to lean on for cheap depth.

Get a fucking goalie at all costs. 1st round pick, prospect, whatever. Get it done.
