Trade Deadline 2014

TheFourthPeriod: Hearing trade talks between the Kings and Islanders have intensified. Also told NYI want to move Vanek by tomorrow's roster freeze. Match?

DennisTFP: Furthering @TheFourthPeriod's latest on Kings/Isles intensified talks, could be reason we haven't seen Gagner deal close.

At the very least this move would signal to everyone that they're rebuilding instead of blowing their brains out trying to make it to the 8th seed.
 
The Blackhawks have acquired Pierre-Marc Bouchard and Peter Regin from the Islanders for a 2014 fourth-round pick.
 
Real_ESPNLeBrun: Isles retained 50 percent of salary/cap hit for both Bouchard and Regin in trade with Hawks.
 
Looking at P.M Bouchard stats through his career , he has pretty decent numbers . sure injuries and lack of size slowed him down a lot but why teams giving up so fast on him , now Hawks sent him to their farm team !!!!

• Regarding last tweet, that Kings source didn't say Gagner to LA deal would be today but believes it gets done eventually.
