Around The League - 2024-25 Regular Season

How does this work .....lowest un standings get first crack at a player
Yup. Any team interested in a player on waivers can claim him, but if multiple teams claim him, the team with the lowest point total has precedence.

If ever the player goes back on waivers, if there were more than one team that tried to claim him the first time around, they'll have the initial priority over the rest of teams. I think.

Ronnie Francis really was the epitome of the modern Selke winner: a PPG player who also played well in his own end and without the puck. Since him, very few Gainey-types have won that award.

He was never going anywhere in year 1 , gm`s were not as stupid this time around
And what was his excuse w Canes - all those top-10 picks and squat. Albeit he built the core of the present Canes team, but could’ve done so much more with all those top-10 picks

Ron Francis the player was tremendous both for Whalers & Pens, but his GM track record is not very good

True. Today some people try to convince us that Phil Danault and his 13 goals should be a candidate for the Selke.
