How does this work .....lowest un standings get first crack at a player

Yup. Any team interested in a player on waivers can claim him, but if multiple teams claim him, the team with the lowest point total has precedence.

If ever the player goes back on waivers, if there were more than one team that tried to claim him the first time around, they'll have the initial priority over the rest of teams. I think.

Ron Francis the player was tremendous both for Whalers & Pens, but his GM track record is not very good

Me neither. I think he's been terrible already in Seattle, which sucks because the city was ready to cheer for something. Bad GM, bad coach, so-so players. McCann is good but not a $5M player.

True. Today some people try to convince us that Phil Danault and his 13 goals should be a candidate for the Selke.
