I will get banned again soon, worry not.
The Alberta equivalent, the AJHL is also going through some things lately. If US college players are going to be permitted to play in the CHL then leagues like the BCHL become kinda redundant.

They quit the AJHL to move to the BCHL I believe.

And then many players had to quit as BCHL is a rogue league outside of Hockey Canada. As a result, if you play BCHL, and get cut, you cannot play anywhere else in Canada for that season (and you cannot even ref in the league or else you cannot anywhere else). Rosters were filled with many 20 year olds who no longer cared or Americans who also didn't care if cut.
