Ya I'm on Team Carney. And as much as I hate to say it I still worry about they electability of a woman in this country.

You can see a few times in there where he probably wanted to really dig into the actual numbers on an issue, but he's being trained to not dig into the weeds too too much when he doesn't have to.

But for a relative newbie, he's got a good mix of being an intellectual like Ignatieff, but not the stuck up professor type. Still an uphill climb, but a good start for people just tuning in and just hearing him for the first time.

Ya it’s sad that it is the way it is, but sometimes you just need to run an old white guy. After years of Trudeau and going up against PeePee, this is one of those times.

Stewart is a smart guy showing the side by side photos of JT and PP. You thought this guy was a lightweight muppet, but check out this clown. There’s a potential narrative there.

Probably a smart move. Like it or not there’s no bringing that one back in public opinion, and it’s permanently attached to JT.

PP is a debate club dweeb, likely going to finishing school at the GOP Debate Club Dweeb Summer Camp (a lot of CPC operatives go to workshops in the US.)

I take back half the mean things I said about him.

Dude has more charisma than I gave him credit for, and some humour to boot.

Still don't know that he can connect with everyday folks. Dailyshow is definitely a latte drinking, avo toast crowd

and I actually watched like at least half the interview over breakfast! will watch the rest later. he was really engaging.

of course, the next questions is why is a Canadian PM candidate doing the... American daily show tour?

It isn't fair, and it isn't right, that if the most qualified candidate is female she can't win.

That said, Carney needs to get on every media outlet quickly and win back the Liberal base.

Given current relations with the U.S. president elect it kind of makes sense. No real reason to limit yourself to Canadian media, that's not really how the game is played anymore.

But they will try to label him as a global elitist who is "just visiting" for sure, so he'll definitely need walk the line.

I would imagine that more Canadians watched him on that You Tube channel then will watch him on any Canadian media outlet.

Yesterday, we all heard about him. Today, we are talking about him.
I would say, the strategy worked.
