New Canadian Politics Thread

Polls worse today:

Angus sep21-23: 30 L, 35 C
Nanos sep21-23: 35 L, 34 C
Ipsos sep20-23: 32 L, 36 C
 
Yeah, I get that. I always make a point to vote, even if I know my preferred candidate's cause is hopeless.

And that's been the case on a few occasions, as I live in a riding that for the most part is an NDP stronghold, but I'm not an NDP supporter.

Yup, poll tracker has Liberals winning 152 seats, conservatives 146.

Conservatives are within spitting distance for winning the most seats now.

The Conservatives blew their load on this blackface incident a couple of weeks too early.
 
Trudeau wouldn't deny there were any other pics floating around right? I'm thinking the worst ones are being held back.
 
All they need to do now is go on about how fake Squirt is -- should resonate with those even if unperturbed by the racist images (no surprise this doesn't bother a lot of people, btw).

I dont see it as people not caring about the pics but more the alternative to what could be running our country if they waiver at this point

The NDP would be a viable option but have just run a poor campaign

I think the NDP have run a great damage limitation campaign.

Remember people were talking about the greens passing them into 3rd position, they have managed to beat that challenge back thus far.

It's in the poll posted on the previous page: "Some 42 per cent of those polled by Abacus said they weren’t really bothered by seeing the PM caught in brownface and blackface, and 34 per cent said they didn’t like it but accepted his apology and could get over it. "

Don't know if it's a poor campaign with the NDP -- just nothing to really distinguish themselves from liberals on the policy front.

Yeah, they've certainly run a good enough campaign to not lose support to the Greens, who have run a pretty weird and dumb campaign to date. But the NDP definitely don't seem to have enough in them to be seen as a logical option for much more. So while the overall race is still Lib vs Con, the whole photo incident just doesn't have the traction that it could have, had the NDP been in a stronger place.

Still a bit of time left in the campaign, but at this point, I think you're definitely going to see one of the lowest turnout elections in recent memory. I bet a lot of people are going to wake up on election day, take a cold shower, and just not bother wanted to go vote for anyone.
 
Well I can honestly say that heaven and hell have moved because I will be fully supporting the NDP or maybe Green party lol.
Cant stand trudeau, and Scheer .... where the hell did they find baby bubba scheer and his circus sideshow?
I have always been a huge C conservative
But now, I wouldnt let Scheer look after my crops or animals.
I hope that Bernier has a melt down during the debates and beats the shit out of Trudeau and scheer.
So a question for those of you who frequent this site ...... who out there in this country would make a great leader and could start a party that can over come all the present party crap and be trusted?
I thought Singh could be that person but I was wrong.
