The tanev stuff reminds me a bit like what was going on 2 years ago with Ben Chiarot. Although Chiarot's hype worked better in trade value.

I agree with everything except the last sentence in this post.

I don’t want any rentals. I don’t want any gudpro depth defensemen. And I don’t want any “ok, just ok” second pair defensemen.

Aim high for a real difference maker that’ll be around for at least a few years, similar to the Muzzin trade, or stand pat.
