OT: Politics & News... Have at it.

Donald Trump will find a way to drop-out. I'm not convinced he wants to be President.

This just proves how bored people are of PC politics.

I barely follow politics, but Trump just makes me think of Rob Ford and the mass hysteria that is "Ford Nation".

People seemingly really love a guy they can (somewhat) relate to in a way.

keep reading his platform... one of his ideas involves staging a military coup in a middle east country and siphoning their entire oil reserves in a few weeks. completely unrealistic, but makes for a really cool movie premise

That still doesn't contradict WeHave's point.

I view Trump as an uber troll -- taking the form to a new level.

He has no interest in being President . . . and nobody really wants him to be Pres., even the people who have told pollsters that they support him.

Hey, it's no skin off my back . . . I'm not the one who's going to be paying it.
We will probably still be stuck with Harper and his Henchmen. Financially he is better for me, he literally gave me a $2000 tax break for no reason and now givesy wife $60 a month again for no good reason. However, I can't vote for him due to his blind support for Israel, C51 crime bills, his attacks on judges etc.

I don't like Liberal support for C51 and that I will pay more tax under Trudeau's plan. His plan is probably best for all of the country in terms of the little people.

The Beard's plan is a sham. The minimum wage plan sounds great but it will only apply federally. How many federal employees make minimum wage.

I can still see Ed Broadbent spitting as he speaks in the House of Commons . . .

I met Ed Broadbent in person (I lived in Oshawa when he was NDP leader so he was around a lot) and I don't remember him being a spitter. But Shakespearean actors often spit while delivering their lines on stage. That I've seen plety of. Slightly off-putting.

I probably will vote for Harper this time but all this crap he is giving away to families is pissing me off. It's just that Justin and the NDP would give even more away so you can't win unless you pump out babies like some in this country seem to do.

CNN.com was running a story today on Canada entering a recession so that can't be good for Harper. I know I just got back from Vegas and the dollar value made we want to puke. Harper has relied way too much on oil revenue and now he has little of that and even less desire to do something about climate change where you are likely to start seeing countries choose oil distributors who have some plan in place.

Every big stage performer spits, as I found out last summer when I sat two rows away from a Bryan Cranston performance on Broadway. They're basically spraying up a storm the entire time. Al Pacino is nicknamed 6 Rows because that's how far you need to be if you don't want to get wet.

Luckily, my seats were a little to the side so I was able to stay dry. But seeing the steady mist took a while to get used to.
