OT: The News Thread

Re: OT - The News Thread

**** that, if Israel got nuked I would be shocked, incredibly saddened, and fully supportive of them finding who was responsible for the attack and letting one off the chain in retaliation.

All I require personally in the interim is measured response to potential threats. Turning Gaza into a super sized Nazi ghetto isn't a measured response. Shattering the civilian infrastructure of Gaza or Lebanon whenever a few soldiers get kidnapped or a few rockets land in a field a few KM's inside the border isn't a measured response.

Fair enough then. I can agree with that.

Re: OT - The News Thread

A peaceful bunch with a delivery of only aid and good wishes.

Oh, and hopes of martyrdom.

Re: OT - The News Thread

Did you translate that yourself, or are you trusting the world renowned Youtube journalists for their honest portrayal of the events on the ship?

Re: OT - The News Thread

I have a friend from Jordan who speaks Arabic and I sent him the link. He confirms that it was what they were stating. Now stop with the anti-semitic nonsense of always believing pro-Jewish media outlets to be evil.

Re: OT - The News Thread

I was contemplating planning another Christmas vacation in the Carribean but with the way things are going those places could be ruined by this

Re: OT - The News Thread

I was thinking the same thing Arty. I want to get away in Novemberish and now I'm thinking Pacific Coast of Mexico might be the answer.

she probably will as soon as you stop believing the anti-islam nonsense of the pro Israel media like Canwest

You are aware that Canwest will not allow any anti-Israel editorials because Asper is a major supporter of the state of Israel. Did you join a facebook group to argue against such an intrusion into freedom of speech/press?

That video was played on last nights 'The National' - I'll trust their fact checking, thanks.

But go ahead and ignore the issue at hand.

Deflect. Deflect. Deflect.

We just proved that there were hardcore Islamists on board that "peace convoy". That kind of throws the whole incident into perspective, doesn't it?

Re: OT - The News Thread

No, because they were still attacked in international waters.

Israel still fell for it and has a black eye.

They still lost their only muslim friend in the area Turkey.

It is still a loss for the state of Israel.

Especially consdiering November is hurricane season. One good storm and that place will be a disaster. Stick to Puerto Vallarta

Herein lies my biggest qualm with this incident. What Israel did wasn't just legally questionable but politically stupid. And when you're in the precarious position Israel is in, I'm not sure which is the bigger problem.

No. They were boarded. As they were told they would be. And as 5 of the 6 ships agreed to.

The terrorist sympathizers came out swinging.

Re: OT - The News Thread

Isreal has no friends in the region. Don't for second think they do.

If I were them I'd constantly be on the offensive too.

Re: OT - The News Thread

But you can't just board vessels in international waters.

More importantly Isreal's most important ally is the goodwill of the Yanks and this is not helping that cause at all.

Re: OT - The News Thread

do you not agree that losing an ally in Turkey, getting a black eye in the world, is a loss for the state of Israel?

Please Cork, you are an ******* but you are smarter than KB, you can't possibly be one of those Go Israel right or wrong kind of guys.

good way to try and make friends

They hate me so let's beat them up some more.

Maybe for Rosh Hashanah the Likud leadership should be given copies of "How to win friends and influence people".
