OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Seems like more of a Harold Ballard gripe than a Toronto gripe.

Any other city you despise due to the actions of one private citizen residing within it?
Put the shoe on the other foot. Suppose you were forced to live in a sea of Habs fans for a decade. You're telling me you'd be cool with that? I didn't hate the Canucks before I moved to Vancouver. Never gave them a second thought. But having to be among their nouveau riche fans once they made it to a finals was all it took (although I still cheered for them in the 94 semifinals when they played the Leafs. Even went to one of the games wearing my "Toronto Sucks" t-shirt)

First, the Montreal Mandatory Relocation Organization has no authority in my jurisdiction so it's hard to envision it, but if the MMRO did have such authority, I would move to another place where they couldn't touch me, and preferably with better tax laws.

Second, it's still the actions of just one guy you have an issue with. And you said he "tried" to get the blackout - so does that mean he actually failed and you still want Toronto to go up in flames for the attempt?

in my 15 years in edmonton the oilers have been terrible - i do wonder how I would feel if they did not suck
Well I live here now too and I'm not looking forward to it. But I cut Oilers fan some slack because they've actually won Cups since the advent of color television. They're "in the club" so to speak. Canucks fans are wannabe's. Their team has never won the big one but they sometimes act as thought making the finals entitles them to something. And hardly anyone in Toronto was even alive in 1967 so they aren't in the club either.

Have you ever considered the possibility that you're just soft?
I'm a hard core Leafs hater. Have been since 1972. It naturally extended to all the other teams, first the Argos and then the Blue Jays. I couldn't care less about the Raptors or TFC because those sports aren't real.

I had to live through that it didn't scar me.

Good for you. You might want to tell the moron in your avatar the Flyers haven't won since 1975 though.
