Pierre-Luc Dubois Thread

PLD is a better asset than Suzuki...so him getting 700k more a year seems fair

he fucked us in the ass without the courtesy of a reach around

add him to the list of Quebecois who don't want to play at home

I thought he wanted $9 million, so $8.5 is a bargain for LAK. But who's their goalie?
If you want to sell your house for $500K you don't list it at $500K, you list it at $650K and negotiate down (assuming you don't live in a housing market like Vancouver or Toronto where you will have 10 offers over asking within an hour of the listing being posted, of course) Dubois asked for $9 million but was happy to "settle" for $8.5 million, which is probably as much as he expected he'd be able to get in the first place.

And if he winds up sulking again it won't be any bargain for LA, it will simply be another one of Bergy's boat anchors.

He wasn't getting more than Suzuki. They have their plan and that's the end of it. If he agreed to 7.87 he'd probably be a hab. Factor in taxes and he's getting about a million more a year. Pretty much the number I said I would like to see him eat to play in Montreal to believe any of his BS.

He didn't leave that money on the table to play in his home town. Very very few would.

Its fine if that house is worth 8.5 million , good luck to the Kings when he sucks out in 3 years

California taxes are just as high ?

California taxes are about the same as Quebec. Nice weather tho...much nicer.

So 750k. Point is he didn't give a hometown discount so he's just another in a long line.
