Sinclair/Ballys/ESPN/TNT ... broadcasting access, tips and notes

Another FanDuel question.

During the Canes broadcasts they have been advertising the Braves games.

Braves are playing right now but no game on FD
Because you aren’t in their market. Wilmington and Charlotte (maybe) are and other areas of Southern nc, but Fayetteville, Raleigh etc…are considered market area for orioles and/or nationals so we get their games on masn or FanDuel. I have to buy mlb tv package every year to watch my Braves. My buddies in Wilmington get Braves games or at least used to. Haven’t talked to them in a year or 2

Yeah, I think we're still in the Nationals TV market, although it could be the Orioles for all I know. I just get MLB TV once the hockey season is over so I can watch Cards games.

We are in both. When my Mets play the O’s or the Nats, the games are blocked out here.

Yeah, it's always been weird. Somehow we're a DC/Baltimore market yet I'm not sure I've ever met more than a handful of people who would claim to follow either team. Braves fans, on the other hand, are absolutely everywhere.

I think our late friend Greensboro Hurricanes was an Orioles fan. And I have a friend who was a columnist for the Baltimore Sun (and a good hockey man too, he ran the Baltimore girls program). But that’s it.

Bruce (Greensboro Hurricanes) was an O's fan, for sure. I know a couple of others, but they're from that general area. Homegrown Orioles fans are REALLY rare.

Well, I was a Cards fan growing up in West Tennessee, but that changed after moving to NC with Ted Turner's Superstation.

By the way, there has never been a better baseball broadcast team than Jack Buck and Harry Caray. Such a treat listening to them on KMOX calling the great Cards games in the 60's.
