The term potential is overused. People still say that Bourque has potential.

It depends on what you're view of that player's potential is. If you think Bourque has 40 goal potential then you're overstating. If you say he has 25 goal potential then that's probably fair.

Myers is still young and has had a good season... he could potentially do something similar to that season again.

On top of that, I wouldn't be surprised if the Habs trade PK within a year or two. I'm not convinced management sees him as their franchise D-man and they might want to cash in on his talent and personality equity.
